Configuring your Mailbox: Windows / macOS & Android / iOS

Getting your email working well doesn't take long, though it deserves a few moments to get it right to make sure it keeps going.

Whether you're using Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Aqua Mail, Mac Mail or something else, it's easy to get online!

Please note that for incoming/inbound email, we only actively support IMAP connections as this keeps your mail in-sync.
On the other hand, old-style POP (Post Office Protocol) mail can leave you exposed to wrongful deletions and other issues.

IMAP mail gives you a "single source of truth" on every device of yours that's configured. All of your devices are always synced.
This means you can trust what you're looking at is your inbox, synced up to "right now", as it will be on your other devices too.

Otherwise, POP is a sync-free system that intermittently downloads new messages. Each device runs your account as it wants.
Please note that POP is an old-world way of getting emails that we DO NOT recommend you use. IMAP is better in every way.

You're going to need to know: your email address, the server that your hosting is on, and your email account's password
Hosting server can be checked through my.LEOPARD. Your email account password can then be reset via your cPanel.

INCOMING (IMAP)

Server: s##.ozcloud.net.au (Verify through my.LEOPARD)
Username: you@yourdomain (Full email - Verify in cPanel)
Password: A complex unique password (Updatable in cPanel)
Encryption: Yes, TLS (STARTTLS required in some clients)
Port: 993 (Make sure your client is over-ridden if needed)

OUTGOING (SMTP)

Server: s##.ozcloud.net.au (Verify through my.LEOPARD)
Username: you@yourdomain (Full email - Verify in cPanel)
Password: A complex unique password (Updatable in cPanel)
Encryption: Yes, TLS (STARTTLS required in some clients)
Port: 587 (Make sure your client is over-ridden if needed)

An important note about encryption:
SSL v2 & v3 are disabled as they're no longer secure options
TLS v1.0 and v1.1 are disabled for the same reason
TLS v1.2 and v1.3 are supported and secure

Getting it right might block you :-(
As you tweak your email settings, wrong mixes might block your internet address. You can unblock yourself 24/7.
Head to: my.LEOPARD > Services > Your hosting > Check Firewall Block (right-hand-side) > Try your email/website again!

Don't forget about Webmail!
Usually, you can head to https://webmail.yourdomain.com.au for immediate access to your mail via Roundcube or Horde.

We're here for you!
If you need help getting your email online, please get in touch with our Support team using the details above.
